Jakarta, Indonesia – Pada pergelaran Jogja Netpac Film Festival 2024 tanggal 04 Desember 2024, Skak Studios dan Sinemart berkolaborasi untuk menghadirkan film hiperlokal bernuansa sci-fi dengan judul “Foufo” ke layar lebar. Film yang bercerita tentang seorang pengepul rongsokan asal Madura yang hidup pas-pasan berharap bisa memberangkatkan ibunya naik haji. Suatu hari, ia menemukan sebuah pesawat UFO misterius yang tergeletak di pinggiran kota. Berharap dapat menjual besi dari pesawat tersebut, ia malah mendapati ada alien di dalamnya yang harus diselamatkan. Film ini rencananya akan di produksi dan ditayangkan tahun depan.
Untuk judul film kedua, Skak Studios juga bersama Sinemart berkolaborasi dalam film berjudul Expedisi, film ini akan menceritakan Sekelompok mahasiswa pas-pas an yang hampir di DO (Drop Out) berharap bisa sukses dari usaha foto prewedding nya. Hingga suatu hari sepasang calon pengantin meminta mereka untuk foto prewedding di sebuah pulau terpencil. Sialnya mereka terjebak di pulau misterius yang berisi beragam makhluk gaib. Bukannya membuat foto prewedding mereka malah merekam berbagai penampakan dan juga harus memecahkan misteri yang tersembunyi di pulau tersebut.
Dua Film ini mempunyai genre yang berbeda dan tentunya kedua film ini tetap akan membawa kearifan lokal sebagaimana seperti film-film Skak Studios sebelumnya. Kita juga akan terus melanjutkan komitmen Skak Studios terhadap sebuah konsep yang memanfaatkan bakat dan cerita lokal.
Film “Foufo” dan “Expedisi” diharapkan menjadi film yang sangat menghibur, menegangkan dan mengharukan juga sekaligus merayakan budaya dan semangat kelokalan yang unik. Dengan pemeran berbakat, cerita yang menarik, dan komitmen terhadap cerita lokal.
